Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Goes Live Tomorrow as a F2P Experience

After months of speculation, the BR mode for BF6 is officially launching. The latest speculation indicating its debut would align with Season 1 were spot-on. Gamers can access the gameplay starting tomorrow.

The New Season Introducing a Brand-New Arena, Game Type, and Weapons

In tandem with the BR addition, the first season is also starting. This introduces a fresh location, a new mode, and fresh guns. What's more, the Redacted Sector is being introduced. A included trailer will be released at go-live, giving fans a glimpse of what's to come.

Complimentary Model Enables the Mode Available to All

Perhaps the most significant detail is that this new experience will be complimentary. Much like popular titles, you do not need to purchase the original Battlefield 6 to participate. A number of players have previously tried pre-release builds of the game type. These playtests were conducted in Battlefield Labs, which the developers described as their largest fan involvement initiative.

The intense thrill during encounters with opposing teams can't be found in any other last-man-standing mode. It feels a true survival situation, and you really mind if you live or perish.
Despite being a snob beforehand, I'm now for the new mode since trying it.

These first impressions from testers have been very positive. Of course, the experience may have been adjusted over the past month or two in terms of balancing and speed. Still, early signs are strong that the battle royale could become a genuine alternative to established offerings. Players are hoping that the top weapons from the main game will also apply in the BR.
