Brian Eno Calls On Support to Get Together for Palestine Song to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A fundraising initiative is aiming to propel a traditional song from Palestine to the top of the UK charts. The campaign hopes to deliver assistance to communities in Gaza while also showcasing Palestinian culture and creativity.

A Possibility for Support and an "Surprise Victory"

Composer and producer Brian Eno, who performs on the track, stated that the release called 'Lullaby' represents a chance to stand with Palestinians this festive season. He remarked the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“That would be amazing if that happened, yes,” he said. “I’m not gonna be completely let down if it fails to, festive releases are a unique phenomenon.”

Defiant Message of Self-Determination

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who sings on the adaptation of a traditional lullaby called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's defiant core message.

“It has a deeply meaningful spot for many individuals,” Barghouti explained. “It’s basically saying that I would prefer a dignified death than live a life without freedom. This is the primary message of the song; we seek to lead a respectful existence that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Track's Background and Featured Artists

The single was laid down following a solidarity show held in late summer. Initially planned to be done as a live recording, the piece was shelved during the concert due to the event running long.

The notable list of musicians featured on Lullaby features a selection of well-known figures from the industry. All took part in the benefit event, which reportedly raised a considerable total for humanitarian aid.

Final Touches and Availability

Lullaby was produced by a trio of producers and composers. The song blends a fusion of the original Arabic with freshly written English words.

The organizers behind the project have stated that their aim is to generate maximum funds for a charitable pot. These proceeds will be channeled to Palestinian causes through an non-profit partner.

“We haven't set a fixed goal,” a representative explained. “We aim for whatever we can get. Of course, the higher the total, the greater the impact. All proceeds are directed out to Gaza.”

The reality in the territory was characterized as its profound destruction, with a vast majority of property reportedly destroyed or damaged.

“Against that backdrop, a couple of million is unlikely to make an enormous impact. But I think what does make a difference is primarily spreading knowledge of this plight and proving there’s another side to the story.”

The song is scheduled for release this Friday. Additionally, a complete film of the benefit event will be made available for streaming on a digital service from the 19th of December.
