The United Kingdom is prepared to move forward with using the full worth of immobilized Russian funds to aid Ukraine's war effort, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a joint statement, the officials of the Britain, France, and Germany stated that this joint measure would escalate tension on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and urge the Russian Federation to participate in talks.

They further noted that the move would be implemented in tight collaboration with the America.

UK penalties have frozen more than £25bn of Russian funds since Russia began its widespread offensive against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. However, until now, money allocated to Ukraine using Russia's holdings had exclusively been drawn from gains and dividends generated on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom, France, and Germany were in agreement in their aim to push forward toward utilizing the total worth of the seized Russian sovereign holdings to halt hostilities.

He stated that additional sanctions soon would increase the strain on the Russian government.

This statement follows European Union representatives gathered in the Danish capital recently to discuss employing frozen Russia's funds for a €140 billion financial aid to the Ukrainian nation.

In the previous month, President Donald Trump urged Group of Seven partners to take or employ seized Russia's holdings, based on news outlets.

The worth of seized Russian funds in the Europe is calculated to be approximately €211bn.

The Russian government carried out extensive aerial attacks throughout Ukraine on Friday, resulting in power cuts in many areas of Kyiv, Kyiv, and multiple additional areas.

While applauding the United Kingdom's firm backing for Ukraine, he noted it should indicate firmly that it would take part in the initiative, as well as enforce additional measures on Moscow.
