Official Departure
The nation's top law enforcement official, Pam Bondi, confirmed Habba's resignation on the start of the week. Bondi stated that the appeals court finding made it unworkable for her to effectively run her office.
"Do not interpret adherence to the ruling as defeat," Habba stated. "My fight will now extend throughout the nation."

The departure was triggered by a US appeals court ruled that she had been unlawfully serving as the federal prosecutor. This ruling is likely to affect numerous legal proceedings in the Garden State.
