The Ideal Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on Your Astrological Sign

The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm across the fandom. Starting with the gradual unveiling of fresh additions before the title's launch, to players developing firm views on the entire roster of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.

With numerous of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive appearances that emphasize their traits, one thought came to mind: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for Aries, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always furious, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, known for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes the Ram much more akin to Mega Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Stay on the friendly side of either and benefit from a powerful ally; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Much like a devoted Bull, the steadfast Heracross species, whether in its regular and Mega form, has aided many players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the creature and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – whether it's their trainer or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side unwaveringly. The thing about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unabashed passion for treats. Many past Pokédex entries mention their fondness for tasty tree sap and how it employs its horn to collect it all, which is true Taurus energy.

The Twins – Mega Medicham

Observe this absolute queen. You cannot tell me this creature is not the soul of every party, providing an constant stream of chatter to those who wish to hear. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's incredibly easy to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their stories. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its ability to foresee an opponent's next moves, which seems very similar to a socially-savvy Twins.

Cancer – Mega Manectric

Cancer is widely considered as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol known for often becoming wrapped up in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of energy, but it's excessive for Manectric to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. It is also known for its ability to create a thundercloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.

The Lion – Super Starmie

Oh, did you think I was planning to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is obviously Mega Starmie, the diva whose gams just became an internet sensation for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Players were captivated from the purple starfish, and that’s exactly the same energy a Leo offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a show, albeit for aliens.

The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual digestive issues. The sign known for being endearingly critical is strongly reflected throughout this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden posts to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a strategy.

Libra – Mega Audino

Observe this sweet, empathetic creature, who uses the feelers on its ears to tell how people are feeling by their pulse. Always empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and striving to keep the harmony, there are many Libras who would probably benefit from Super Audino's abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them stress even more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic origin: Discarded as a doll, it became consciousness through sheer hatred and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio friends. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a show. Being a Sagittarius myself, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful small entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to foresee disasters ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Goat, who often always believe they’re right. The thing is, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very first Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Aloof element Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame sign that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous jokes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire typing matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general intimidating presence is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already convinced, the Super Form's description says it “draws in negative energy and transforms it into strength.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
