The Streaming Giant Chooses Ideal Star for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Season 3

Baroque Works is poised to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the real showdown isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has just been cast.

Netflix announced recently that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bentham. This character has the ability to transform into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. Escola, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a interpretation of that figure re-envisioned as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action show, unlike the original manga and anime.

Escola will work alongside a number of recently announced actors who will portray the group to the screen, featuring head the main antagonist, brought to life by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.

Though Bon Clay is a key figure of the organization, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Considering season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this marks a major departure in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate additional alterations to the plot development.

Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the role. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.

The platform’s adapted One Piece show is set to return for its second season on March 10, 2026.
