The visionary game developer, the mind behind the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a vehicle crash in the state of California aged 55.

His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The influential game designer passed away following his car crashed and burst into flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday, according to.
